PTE Preparation: One-on-One and Live Group Classes
PTE is a computer-based English test. You speak into a microphone, not to a person. Results usually come back within two days. It’s widely accepted for Australia, New Zealand and UK visas. For Canada immigration, the version you need is called PTE Core.
I’ve been teaching English exams, including PTE, for more than 10 years. PTE is scored by a computer, and computers reward structure. I’ll teach you that structure.
What you’ll learn
Speaking: Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image and Retell Lecture, practised until your speech flows without pauses.
Writing: Summarise Written Text and Essay, with templates that fit what the scoring system looks for.
Reading: Fill in the Blanks, Reorder Paragraphs and Multiple Choice, with fast methods for each.
Listening: Summarise Spoken Text, Write From Dictation and Highlight Incorrect Words. These tasks carry heavy marks, so we drill them hard.
How the computer scores you: which tasks affect more than one skill, and where to put your effort.
Time management: PTE gives you a timer on every task. You’ll practise until you stop watching it and start trusting your pace.
